Good Day Sunshine: A *Citrus Twist* Process

As much as I love Citrus Twist kits, I have cancelled my subscription for now. I am so busy with work that I am not able to find the time to use the kits the way that I want to. Also, I’ve decided to do a December Daily, so that will take up a lot of my time in the near future. (I will definitely be sharing that as I go. If you are interested in following along, I will be using the Scraptastic Stocking Stuffer Kit. It was shipped yesterday!)

That being said, I am still working with the September Citrus Twist kit, which was used to make the following layout, and I have just recently received the October kit too. So I should still have some CT project shares left in me yet.

Here is my most recent:

Good Day Sunshine

Good Day Sunshine

I recently acquired a Silhouette Cameo and could not wait to get my hands on a sunburst as I have been really wanting to experiment with this motif for some time. You can see in a previous post, Spreading the Sunshine, that I played with it a bit when I was experimenting with my Cricut. Not too long ago, Citrus Twist showcased a guest designer who used a tone on tone sunburst for a layout and accented it with sewing. Here’s the link if you are interested. I fell in love with the look of it so decided to do my own take.

I edited, cut, and sewed the sunburst then sprayed the entire page with Mister Huey’s Opaque White Color Mist. I then layered papers and the doily from the kit and embellished with Thickers (the blue sparkly ones), stickers, enamel dots, twine, and wood veneers, also from the kit. The brown Thickers, heart buttons, and date stamp are all from my stash.

Here are some details:

Thank you for looking and, as always, I love to hear from you.

Currently, I am working on a Halloween layout using Graphic 45′s Steampunk Spells collection. I hope to share that with you soon!
