Getting my Halloween on…

In an earlier post I mentioned that I love to colour images but I never really turn them into cards so, in order to prompt me to follow through, I purchased a Kraftin’ Kimmie Kardmaking Kit. They can be found here if you are interested.

Here is a picture of what is in the kit, minus the materials that I used to make the first card (I already finished it before I had the idea to take the before shot):

This is most of the kit. She also includes any image stamp that you want. I selected Zelda which is a Zombie/Frankenstein's monster kind of a stamp. The other images I used are ones from my collection.

My goal is to kill this kit. There is enough material to do 6 cards, and then some, and I am happy to say I am already done card 3! I was planning to wait until I finished them all before sharing them with you but I’m so stinking excited about how they turned out, I decided to show you the first 3 right now! If anyone has any questions about the Copic colours I used, please let me know. Here are numbers 1- 3:

I'll Put a Spell on You Card # 1 I was pretty cautious with this first one

Card # 2 I'm not sure how well you can see this with the poor lighting, but there is a double layer of dimension on this card. The teal circle is popped up and the image is popped up on top of that. I double pop-dotted the fussy-cut arms so they pop way off the page. I wish you could see the full effect. I wish I had better lighting. I also wish I had a Ferrari.

Trick or Treat Card # 3 Zelda. This turned out to be my favourite! I copied the stitch motif through, using my copic pen. I also tried to mimic it with the background paper and the placement of the twine. The candy corn button is also from the kit.

Just as an FYI: Although I am a big fan of Kraftin Kimmie stamps, I am not a DTM and do not want to misrepresent myself as one. She has a team of very experience and very talented designers. If you are interested in seeing their work, you can find links to them on the Kraftin Kimmie Blog.

Thanks for looking and thank you all for your encouragement! I love to hear from you!
